Sharing in the Mission with Prayer
This post is a little lengthy!
It’s my prayer list.
Where do I begin, where do I end??
I can only journey forward trusting that the Lord hears my prayers when what I am doing will glorify the Lord. This is confirmed in John 14:13 “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son”.
I read a note in the Blue Letter Bible in a cross reference to Mark 5:43 that opened my perspective to prayer.
After Jesus restored to life a young girl that was pronounced dead, the Lord “charged them straitly that no man should know it, and commanded them that something should be given her to eat”.
The commentator provided an eye opening perspective to me. He shared that the Lord raised her to life by extraordinary power and restored her to complete health, now she must continue in existence by ordinary means.
It was also rephrased saying “when the miraculous power of God is necessary, let it be resorted to, when not necessary, let the ordinary means be used.
I found this to be so true when I was restored to health after being attacked with COVID and given only a less that 1% chance of survival.
It was the Lord's EXTRORDINARY POWER that completely restored me!!!
I then had "work" to do after that, which included intense physical therapy for 3 weeks.
Long thought short, The Lord is almighty, all-powerful and will provide extraordinary power when needed, BUT we still have to take responsibility in our day to day life.
When I thought about my long list of “needs”, I first needed to bring to light what my responsibility is. Then, what I cannot do, I ask the Lord to provide. Then we know what is from HIM, and he will be glorified!!!
For now, these are the prayer needs that I have as I sit from home. I know there will be many more once I arrive and begin working in the hospital.
If you feel led to pray for this mission, please feel free to add in the comment section any scripture that comes to your heart.

ReplyDeleteAmen! And if you keep giving yourself to the Lord everyday and submitting to Him through prayer, He’ll do much more than we could ever dream of. Ephesians 3:20-“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”. It’s not our power in us, but His power.
ReplyDeleteThank you for following my journey and for your prayers!!!
